In “How Restaurants Prepare for VIPs”, Eater gives diners some behind-the-scenes on how restaurants treat celeb guests. For at least one legendary spot, Balthazar in NYC, so many VIPs come by that they had to sub-rank them. Guess who’s an “AAA”?

 

2. LOVE IN THE OVEN

When a bread lover scrolling through her dating app sees a man at work in a bakery, she swipes right and this New York Times “Modern Love” story is born: “Boy, What a Fabulous Baker”.

3. FOOD ON FILM

Food52 rounds up “The Best Old Food Movies That Were Snubbed by the Oscars”, but what they’ve really done is created a delicious library of future viewing for all food lovers—including classics like Tampopo and My Dinner with Andre, all the way up to Blue is the Warmest Color. 

 

4. BEANS AND BEER

Punch posed an important question this week: “Is There Such a Thing As Too Much Coffee Beer?” And we will definitely be doing our part to answer the query by trying all five on their list of the world’s best.
